CaseGuide for Forensic Accountants
Forensic Accountants can amass large quantities of spreadsheets and supporting documentation. While a copy of Microsoft Excel and a large shared drive is often employed during a financial investigation, there is a better way.
CaseGuide makes digital organization and analysis easy.
Forensic Accountants can use CaseGuide to work on spreadsheets right in the application, plus upload supporting documentation. Receipts, invoices, and other supporting documentation can be uploaded and processed with optical character recognition (OCR) to make them searchable in CaseGuide.
Native File Formats
CaseGuide allows investigators to utilize native file formats during review and analysis. Spreadsheets, for example, are viewed in the CaseGuide application exactly as one would view them in Microsoft Excel.
Many other case management platforms force users to convert all documents to PDF file format and utilize the PDF documents for review and analysis. Large spreadsheets are often split across multiple 8.5 x 11” sheets of paper during conversion, making them difficult to read. CaseGuide certainly can convert all documents to PDF, but our experience working with Forensic Accountants, we know analyzing the files in their native format would be critical.
